This piece stars *gunnmgally's character Mia. I've been a fan of *gunnmgally for a while now and the series with Mia...just inspired me. So, here is my rendition of Mia in the city. This digital painting is based largely on the concept of imaginary friends and the reasons/necessity for a child to create an imaginary friend...etc, etc, ramble, ramble.

PLEASE full-view and let me know what you think. I put a lot of time into the piece so any criticism (preferably constructive) would be helpful.

aha, an awesome drawing! Haven't seen one of those in a few days. I like the reflections, and the shading, and the giraffe. Can't really think of anything bad to say about it.

Aww thanks so much! That's a really nice comment :D I actually wrote a post on the forums about how I believe the quality of art has declined on dA in the past few years (I had a different user name before).

I don't really have a problem with the quality of the art as long as a legitimate effort was put into it. There are many people who draw something like a stick figure and decide to post it. I've only been on this site for a little over half a year so I haven't witnessed the decline firsthand but seeing some of the stuff people submit I have no problem believing you and others when it's said the art has declined.

lol i think my brain just imploded
i've been just gazing openmouthed at this for at least 10 minutes and i still dont quite know what to think, only that its amazing
and that i darn want taht giraffe
i just logged in to aim in hopes i could just talk about this picture lol

Oh, so well done! :)
The neon colors in the bg look nice in contrast with the giraffe and two girls.
I couldn't help giggle at the outline people, they're odd and cool. They add to the picture too.
The giraffe is so cute. Long eyelashes and everything. :3
*Tries to think of some critique to say that will make her seem smart and help Rikuun at the same time* .... Nevermind. It's perfect. I'll just fav it. :)
